Our Pastor

Arthur Preve

Arthur Preve has been the pastor of Maranatha Bible Church since 1992. Arthur and his wife, Deborah, have been faithful to the Lord, and an encouragement to the flock ever since.

Arthur's first desire as a pastor was to build a church out of youth. With that on his heart, he began reaching out to youth who were troubled, or came from broken homes.

Here is a personal testimony from him...

"The Lord has been patient & forgiving toward me, and He's not done growing me! At Maranatha we try to have the same charity toward others. What you see with us is what you get. We hope to be real and genuine. My faith has been a journey, especially after the loss of my 18 year old son. My wife and I understand what it means to lose someone dear, and to rely on our Saviour for strength each day. Perhaps we can help."

Our Youth Pastor

Jason Dumas

Jason Dumas began working in our youth ministry in 1996, in-between college semesters. Eventually, Jason became more full time in 2000. He has also been the camp director of Harvest Bound Camp since 2010. For information on the camp click here, Harvest Bound Camp

In 2007 Jason married Deniece, who has been nothing short of a blessing to the girls, and ladies who come through our church.

Our youth ministry has constantly found new things to enjoy as Jason seeks out events for teens like white water rafting, theme park trips, and much more. He is constantly thinking and praying about each event  so that nothing gets in the way of a fun time in the Lord.

Overall, Jason has made it his desire to see youth have a PERSONAL walk with God. He desires to teach them about the Bible, and to help them grow, while encouraging them in areas they need help with. However he will tell you himself that, "My word means nothing if it doesn't line up with the Bible." In turn, Jason hopes that this causes youth and adults alike to also seek God on their own accord, strengthening their relationship and walk with Him.

What We Believe

We Are Created for God's Pleasure

Revelation 4:11 - "Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created."

First and foremost, we are to please God with how we live our lives. Trusting and Obeying his Word.

The King James Bible is Perfect & Preserved!

Psalm 132:2 - "...for thou has magnified thy word above all thy name."

God magnifies His word above ALL his name. Further, He is capable of creating and preserving it through all the ages!

--We believe in salvation by grace through faith.

--We believe that Eternal Security is granted to all Church Age born again believers.

--We believe that the saved will be raptured before the Tribulation, and that during the Tribulation, Israel will be cleansed, and come back to God. Following this, will be the 1,000 Year Millennial Reign which the Lord covenanted with Israel.

--We believe that the earth was created in six literal days.

--We believe that the world has entered too much into the church, and that we as Christians need to be set aside unto the Lord. This includes our music, conduct, and worship.

Salvation by Grace Through Faith

Ephesians 2:8-9  For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.

The Bible makes it clear that the only way to heaven is by accepting the work that Jesus carried out on the cross. Jesus said it very clearly Himself. John 14:6  I am  the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Further, the Bible says in II Peter 3:9 God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. That means that if you are NOT saved, the first step to pleasing God is to GET SAVED.
